Arabian Cowrie (Cypraea arabica) is found widely in both the Indian and Pacific Oceans. There are several synonyms to this wide-ranging species:

Cypraea asiatica is found from Japan to New Guinea.
Cypraea brunnescens is found near Australia.
Cypraea dilacerata is found in the east Indian Ocean
Cypraea gibba found near Malaysia.  
Cypraea immanis is found in the west and central Indian Ocean.

The record for this species is near 10.5 cm.

Monotocardia Order contains most of the sea shells found in the oceans. In this group, the right-hand side organs are not developed, and the animal lives with just the left side organs (gill and auricle) only.
