This lifeform is found in the SW USA (Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona). This lifeform is found in areas of low moisture such as deserts or dry fields.

The deserts of the southwest United States are characterized by limited rainfall. The plants found on deserts include cactus and other succulent plants. The animal species include lifeforms that are adapted to live with very little moisture.
