Blue Tongued Skink (Tiliqua scincoides) is found widely in Australia. The unusual blue tongue helps identify this dark and pale striped lizard. This heavy bodied skink can be up to 22 inches long.

Skink Family (Scincidae) is a large group of fast moving lizards found essentially in the New World Tropics. A few species are found in southern North America.

Lizards and Snakes (Squamata Order) share many common characteristics and consequently they are grouped in a single order. Currently, some taxonomists believe that the fish should be divided into two groups (sharks and regular fishes) and that there are some other primitive groups in the phylum such as hagfish or lampreys.

Animal Kingdom contains numerous organisms that feed on other animals or plants. Included in the animal kingdom are the lower marine invertebrates such as sponges and corals, the jointed legged animals such as insects and spiders, and the backboned animals such as fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
